Beginners are welcome to become part of our dedicated beginner classes
in any month of the year, at any stage of the month. Kindly note that
should you wish to join our on-going disciplines (Tier 1) you will be
required to make an appointment for an interview before commencing
training. Most interviews are conducted at our easily accessible Hombu
(headquarters) Dojo in southern Durban.

THE WU-SHIN LIFECENTRE (HOMBU)
The Wu-Shin LifeCentre, the Hombu (Headquarters) of the Wu-Shin Chi-Dao Foundation for Self-Development,
is a very special place - one that serves as a retreat and a focus for
personal growth. Situated atop a small hill, the Hombu occupies a
reasonably large piece of totally indigenous land on the outskirts of
Durban city. Close enough to be quickly and easily accessed from three
major freeways, yet far enough away from the noise, crowds, traffic
jams and pollution of the city itself. It is also the private home of
Lao Tze Bob Davies and Shaz, and a 'home from home' for all the extended members of the Wu-Shin Family - members of the Wu-Shin Chi-Dao Foundation, seniors and beginners alike. By its very nature and purpose, the Wu-Shin Life Centre
encourages special behaviour and consideration from all who enter and
spend some time in its environs. As private property, access and use is
restricted to registered members and invited guests; 'Right of
Admission' is nonetheless reserved to those members from whom admission
has not been excluded.
Security is obviously a serious concern of us all. Certain controls are
necessary to minimise possible problems - before they occur. Visitors,
guests, family of members, and 'strangers' may not have unaccompanied
access to the LifeCentre nor undertake general 'walkabouts' of the
grounds without prior arrangements. Lao Tze Bob Davies can be contacted
telephonically (Refer above) to arrange, in advance, access to the
property, an interview and a general tour if so desired.
Visitors are invited to sit in the main dojo for the period of
their visit (shoes off, of course, before entry). Their conduct is
required to be respectful of the surroundings within which they are
privileged to be present: sitting quietly without comments,
interjections or interaction with any of the students on the floor.
Children must be kept under the direct control of their parents and
remain quiet, and seated in the main dojo, at all times.
Pets are not to be brought on to the property without first acquiring
permission - under no circumstances are they permitted to be off-leash.
